Of course the very next day Maybelle was born. We just came home from church and drove up to find her shivering and turning white with frost on her damp coat. We took her into the barn and dried her off and warmed her up before returning her to Daisy for refreshment. After pondering how this could happen...meaning the timing issue...we figured she was bred in April. Somehow she skipped the July/August appointment with the bull and we all assumed that she was carrying all winter. Big ooops.
One thing for sure, without human intervention there would only be a sad tale to tell and it makes us realize just how much one day or just a couple hrs can make all the difference in the world. Enjoy the video.
